Plainfield, IL., USA, March 5, 2017 – HMC Manufacturing, a leading provider of confectionary and bakery machinery in the U.S., is excited to announce that it has changed its name to Candy Worx. In addition to a new company name, Candy Worx will be launching a new company website and introduce an updated capabilities and corporate identity.

The new name, Candy Worx, will also bring organizational changes. Over the past four years, HMC Manufacturing and SPEC Engineering have created a close working partnership and have approached projects together; HMC providing machinery and SPEC providing engineering and product management services. Going forward, Candy Worx will officially be a part of the SPEC Group.

Being all under one company, the Candy Worx / SPEC team will be able to provide our customers additional services and a more streamlined process. Candy Worx will focus on a more comprehensive approach to new confectionary and bakery process machinery solutions. As these two companies have been working very closely already, bringing Candy Worx in-house will be a seamless transition.

Roger Hohberger will continue as President of Candy Worx and will lead the company during this exciting new time. Candy Worx’s customers and vendors will continue to benefit from this combined partnership. The added benefit for customers will be: complete engineered process solution that can be completely assembled and tested with in-house controls migration.

The SPEC / Candy Worx Partnership Team will be based out of the SPEC office in Plainfield, Illinois, USA.
